Avalon Place Highway 7/8 Multi-Use Trail Crossing
#91
Are they also adding a staircase or just the ramp? Stairs (or an elevator!) are a nice option for pedestrians. šŸ˜Š

Based on the plans both sides will have stairs as well as the ramp. If you look at Acitta's last picture of the Avalon sideĀ the concrete columns that are formed are the supports for the stairs. On the Chandler side they have yet to formĀ those columns as the bridge has to move onto the highway first right through where those columns will go.

The highway closure is planned for this coming weekend. The closures will start to take effect Friday night when shoulder and outside lanes start to close then the highway will be completely closed on Saturday. On Sunday the highway will be reopened to a single lane with all lanes open on Monday.

The detour for the highway isĀ Ottawa St.

Here is the posted letter from the Region:Ā Highway 7 Closure
