I both do and don't. In the absence of reasonable alternatives, this would make getting to Ottawa so much easier (depending on the schedules of course), and I would probably use it. But we really shouldn't be having flights for such short distances... Especially as close as Toronto.
Also, didn't realize the Dash 8 was back under the DHC name now. Makes sense with the whole Bombardier situation though...

Saw the news about this...if it happens, I suspect it wouldn't last long. Few carriers seem to stick around here.

I understand that many people go to Detroit to catch international flights because they are cheaper than those from Canadian airlines. Flying to Windsor may make that faster, considering that we don't have high speed trains to there and Greyhound seems to be going out of business.

I can't see Kitchener-Windsor being viable. A return of flights to Ottawa would be welcome - I would have thought it would be useful for the high tech sector, as well as academics and government types. Montreal was tried and failed by somebody else in the past, no? In theory, I would have thought it would be a good option for connections to Europe and elsewhere.

The series was bought from Bombardier by Longview Aviation Capital and they revived the De Havilland name.

My assumption here is that they would be doing a milk run, at least to start: the same aircraft will fly Windsor-Kitchener-Toronto-Ottawa-Montreal with quick stops in each. We would not be depending on much Windsor-Kitchener or Kitchener-Montreal traffic. Whether they could get enough pax with this type of scenario would depend on prices, schedule and the turnaround time at each of the stops.

That was my assumption as well. A milk run similar to the porter Toronto Bishop/Ottawa/Halifax/St. Johns run

I think of it as responsible journalism. The Record gives the basic story and some background to the history of Pivot Airlines. Positive or negative, I’m interested in the whole story.

Surprised to read Sunwing listed as a "current scheduled" choice. The border is closed at all international airports with the exception of 4 (Montreal, Pearson, Vancouver and Calgary or Edmonton)… not sure where Sunwing plans to go, but unless the rules change, it won't be Mexico or DR.
