Im a bit shocked they're allowing unofficial results to come out tonight. Doesn't that totally undermine and devalue the voters of Woolwich?

What does it say about our high-tech community that there are so many technical difficulties this evening?
Everyone move to the back of the bus and we all get home faster.

Nothing to do with our local tech community at all. The municipalities with online voting issues are using the services of Dominion Voting Systems based out of Toronto.

You'd think with the availability of instant scale from any of the Cloud providers, they could avoid this sort of thing. Sigh.

Could be an info sec issue. Because online voting is secure, right, and not subject to denial of service attacks.

Anyone at all surprised by Waterloo Regional Council seats? Jim Erb out to a big lead, and Beisan not close. Both of those were unexpected for me.

City of Waterloo results now saying:

Quote:Due to extended voting in municipalities within the Region of Waterloo, we are temporarily removing all results from our election results webpage. When all results are loaded we will refresh this page with the unofficial turnout for all electoral positions in the City of Waterloo with the exception of Regional Chair. Results including Regional Chair will be posted following close of voting in all municipalities in the Region of Waterloo or upon further direction of the Regional Clerk.

Shit show?
