I'd just be happy with a flight out east like they have one going out west.

Sure, but people living within 35 kilometres of the airport (YKF) make two million air trips every year. With that many air trips a year you'd figure some airline would be interested in this Region.

I assume they have plans for future expansion to US destinations. Otherwise why be concerned with people flying out of Buffalo?

It has been reported, I believe, that Swoop will serve U.S. and Mexican destinations.

Man, everything is coming up John C. Munro this week. Nice to have a non-Pearson international option nearby.

Good luck if you're planning on flying to Toronto on flyGTA. They have three flights a day and they are pretty well sold out. You can still book a flight on Aug.2 and Aug.17 and that's it. So their business is doing very well. I wonder when they'll add more flights.

I think we’ve covered this before, but could the Sold Out notification just be a placecard for any reason that a flight is not available, and just put up because it looks better for the business than saying “Plane Not Available for Techhnical Reasons”, “Waiting in Parts”, “Certificate Expired” etc.?

That's my unconfirmed theory (and it may still be true), but from what I've heard it seems like they are doing well so it seems quite possible they're just actually booked up.

If you know the flight number you can look them up on flight aware to see if they were actually cancelled or not.

I can't find any evidence of flights on this route on Flight Aware. In fact, I can barely find any FlyGTA flights other than a couple from Barrie and one from Niagara a week ago. The Waterloo Regional airport site claims there's a FlyGTA flight coming in from Billy Bishop tonight "on schedule". Mysteriously, FlyGTA's own flight tracker says the same flight was scheduled for a different time but was cancelled. Very mysterious.

Yea I'm not seeing much either. Only flight I see on ykf site is the westjet flight (don't I wish they had one that went to Halifax), and on Billy bishop all I see are Porter and ac flights. Looks like though they don't use the main terminal there.
Any search of their callsign (according to Wikipedia is hrn, or homerun) comes up empty. Edit: all their registered aircraft is here. The few I searched for kept saying either Toronto or St Catherine's https://wwwapps.tc.gc.ca/saf-sec-sur/2/c...?cn=%7c%7c&mn=%7c%7c&sn=%7c%7c&on=FLYGTA%7c&m=%7c%7c

I emailed flyGTA and asked if they were, in fact, sold out or if there were other issues. They responded: "Unfortunately, all flights to Kitchener are not available." That answer is not very helpful. So at this stage I have no idea what is going on with flyGTA.
