Great observation. Whenever I drive on the Conestoga Parkway up between say Bridgeport and University, it amazes me that if you look at the lights way off in the distance, it looks like they're off - and they wink "on" as you get closer, because the light is so focused. It's the weirdest thing to see the roadway illuminated with no apparent source of light. Maybe we can enlist the anti-light pollution advocates to help us get rid of these stupid fixtures?

There's one of those light standards at Conestoga, at the bus terminal level. Really does not fit in.

Does a great job - doesn't the finished rapidway look great when it's not covered in dirt, gravel, and construction garbage?
Even the duct tape is gone!

I wasn't going to jump into the nitpicking bandwagon, but this is pretty bad. I might have to email Pride Signs.
OH man, the signs are brutal. One would think that Pride Signs would take some "pride" in their work. This is horrible looking.

Yeah, I might send them a private email, mentioning that people are noticing their handiwork - they might want to step it up a notch.

Isn't there anyone (ie: quality control) that signs off on the work though? It shouldn't require a private citizen to point it out.

Canard, when I look at your photos of the North and Southbound platforms (King @ Victoria), I see no evidence of those platforms accessing the hub. Do we expect the current platforms to be semi-permanent as there are no firm plans for how the train station will work? I speculate the current plan is to walk from the southbound platform to Victoria and cross the street there. Hopefully in the future there will be some option to get onto the bridge and cross there.

I would think that we could easily look at the grade separation and see if they put in platform along the entire length, which would be required in order to have west-side southbound stop access to the bridge. But don't forget, they refused to put the TPSS between the School of Pharmacy and the rails because they didn't want to have to do any soil remediation (when costs might have been split between the Region and GrandLinq). So there's a chance that if we move forward with a west-side access to the platform, it will only happen if they decide to do the remediation of the soil needed to create a stairway/elevator there, and shoulder 100% of the costs.

Correct. It will indeed be some time before the station can be accessed more directly from that platform.

Almost, but without the arrowhead.

More path access work finishing up - this time at University of Waterloo. This is intended as a pedestrian crossing? The platform just slopes down to gravel and railroad track? I guess passengers in wheelchairs just have to deal with it, or is there something I'm missing?
Also, how do you include images in replies?

It's not finished. They'll install something on the tracks to make it level.

You have to re-link it manually. Right click on it and "copy image location", and then in your reply, paste that into [img] tags.
