Avalon Place Highway 7/8 Multi-Use Trail Crossing
The mobile cranes and all the support trailers are staged on site behind the old Zellers/Target. During the originally planned lift Sarens was providing the cranes, this time around Mammoet is providing the cranes.

The cranes themselves are in the loading docks for the Zellers.

Before the big lift, these were taken at 6:30am, they have a giant exclusion zone so this is the closest I could get, the bridge was on the highway and Mammoet was preparing the rigging on the bridge.

The big lift happened around 7:30 this morning and by 8 the cranes were already being disassembled.

I also saw a response on Twitter, looks like they hope to have it open before winter.

Noticed they have recently finished the MUT paving from the bridge to Ottawa while driving by. Hope that means we're getting close to open with the snow arriving this week... would love to start using it with the worst of the weather to come.

Oddly they missed a section - between the two driveways behind Zehrs it's still sidewalk!

Odd. Is that becoming a bus stop location? Possible it's getting a larger platform area poured, like they did recently further south on Strasburg. Or they just haven't made it to there yet.

It's looking very good at the moment but not totally complete - at least from the Chandler side. The ramp needs handrails and the stairs need a number of finishing touches, but I can see it opening by spring.

Soooooo funny this broke ground a year ago (and was being planned way before that) and it's still not done.
