Well, in the wee hours of the morning, after a marathon session of council (we had to wait until after the Brighthaupt block discussion), I spoke for the sidewalk clearing pilot.
Sarah Marsh, Berry Vrbanovic, and John Gazola spoke in favour of the project, but ultimately the vote was only 4 in favour.
The "nay" team was lead by Galloway-Sealock who claimed to be strongly in support of accessibility, and wanting the best snow clearing possible...and thus somehow decided to not only vote against studying what would be the best snow clearing, but also vote FOR 9 days straight of uncleared snow...as that is the current bylaw. She also insinuated that the delegates who came to speak in favour of the clearing proposal were nothing more than mobilized membership of...I'm guessing she referred to TriTAG.
*sigh*...I guess I'll buy a car, I'm sick of dealing with this bullshit in the winter, and it looks like I'll be doing so for the foreseeable future so...
