Shimco http://www.shimco.com/index.html has completed its move from Markham to its new plant in Cambridge. The company, a manufacturer of precision components for the aerospace, defence, space and industrial markets, says the 25,000-square-foot plant on Heroux Devtek Drive gives it increased capacity and advancements in manufacturing processes, including a new flexible manufacturing system. The company, which currently employs 47 people, said a 30,000-square-foot expansion is in development to support in-house processing and establish a research and development centre.
