They haven't been off the tracks long enough to have had their FIE installed.  It doesn't just plug in, they have to pull seats and panels to replace sections of the wiring harness to add more interconnection between the various bits of FIE and the existing control systems.  I've been waiting for the day they'll come off the tracks and 502 through 504 will appear in their place, but I suspect they're waiting to integrate the software debug efforts made on any glitches discovered during 511's tests before that will take place.

Thanks, had not realized that. Have now crossed out my table so as not to confuse other people!

Where are the trains? What's left? What's an FIE?

So because this stuff seems to be frequently sought after info I decided to dust off my CPTDB account and try using their wiki to put it together...

https://cptdb.ca/wiki/index.php/Ion_501-514

This page surprisingly didn't exist before I just created it, so definitely more stuff to come Tongue
Ideas are welcome, and if I made any mistakes let me know.
Or if you have an account on there too I guess you can just edit yourself.

Also thanks to KevinT for his FIE explanation... hope you don't mind I borrowed some wording Big Grin

Great job! thanks for putting this together.

It's kinda cute to see photos for each of the LRVs even though they are all identical (I think?) Rolleyes

Signals at Mill/Ottawa still need some work - the red lights were flashing but no bells, and the barriers were up.

No sign of any kind of rail traffic.

Apparently an individual who called it in to the Region saw one of the gates bent which wouldn't allow the gates to reset properly

Did the wind bend that giant gate?

More than likely not. There have been a few instances where vehicles have been stuck under gates at some crossings while the LRV is approaching.

What would cause something like that to happen?  Someone trying to sneak through at the last minute?

That’s nothing. Take a look at the page for Toronto’s new streetcars:

And old ones:
