I believe it is, the one where I remarked that the city seemingly saw no cost as too large to impose on private developers preserving heritage and fitting into "local context" with designs, but completely balked at a six-figure cost to the city to follow their own words.

That gravel/sand section of the IHT between Gage and Glasgow is getting old really fast.
Everyone move to the back of the bus and we all get home faster.

Was driving along Water St in Cambridge today, and along the riverfront near Concession a ton of dirt had been dug up. Sitting on top of the wall there was the new iron pedestrian bridge intended to span the river! I didn't remember seeing a timing for this, great that it's getting done so soon.
It was also a new design (or at least, not the originally proposed design). Looked more similar to the construction of the rail bridge up the river - no longer had that awful looking portal-like thing in the middle.
a photo!

It finally happened today, after a year of daily biking to work... riding legally on the Caroline St MUT I came up behind three people who were walking two small dogs, taking up the entire width of the sidewalk. I slowed down, used my bell to get their attention, and they moved to either side so I could cycle slowly past. Then as I passed I heard one of them say to the others, just loudly enough that I could hear, "You know... it's not actually legal to bike on the sidewalk".
Unfortunately I didn't have time to stop and explain to them that despite all appearances this isn't actually a sidewalk, and a mere six blocks away there is a single tiny sign showing that this is a shared pathway.

I'm dreading that day. I hate confrontation. More signage is needed. I tweeted months ago about it and they said they'd investigate.
I guess they did and decided to do nothing.

Maybe we need handout cards that explain the situation and refer to the Region’s website? And maybe the flip side explains in small words the difference between a camera and a gun and that using a camera in public is still generally legal?
But yeah, better signage is the real answer.

Painting symbols on the ground might also work.

Good news:

So sometime yesterday, a "Shared Pathway" sign was posted at Caroline & Erb! It's only visible to people walking south, but it's a start.

Yay...?
It should be at every intersection.
What are all the clouds of little white bugs on the trails around 5-7pm? I hate them.

There was always a sign at Caroline & Allen. I don't recall this sign being at Caroline & Erb, and it was actually noticed as a new sign by a separate group of people having a similar discussion on Twitter.

There was definitely only ever one (until now I guess), at Caroline and Allen. I can confirm this as I've checked several times just to see how many there are along there, and it's always just been the one.
But only putting one additional sign to bookend the section is lame. What's the cost, like $250 per sign? Maybe $500 with installation?

Compare to the MUT/regular-width-sidewalk-which-bikes-are-allowed-on that runs from King & Weber under Conestoga Parkway and has multiple "Shared Pathway" and "Bikes Yield To Pedestrians" signs on every block...
