I love the idea of doing the intersections first - I think it's brilliant, personally. If there are tight enough curves in between the intersections that there are pre-rolled rail sections there anyway (rather than long strings of ribbon rail, like further south on Charles with gentle curves), there is no penalty to doing this - only benefit.

It is north of the freight line ( streetview). Hard to figure out which way it lies to see if it gets close enough to the freight line for it to be a concern for CN or just for the utility relocation (which I assume is the only reason we're digging there in the first place?).

Regardless, a camera drone or rover would be great footage for the team to post.

Throw a little bit of asphalt in there, and we'll be just about ready to reopen!

Walked along the line from King and Willis to Duke and Frederick this morning.
Activity was concentrated
-on King between Union and John with concrete pouring of the NB track
-at King and Moore with an even deeper hole now
-on Francis between King and Duke with concrete pouring
-at Victoria and Charles
Everyone move to the back of the bus and we all get home faster.

Awesome photos! As always, I am so envious of those who get to see the daytime activities. Stupid work.

Just realised Ottawa / Charles is supposed to reopen next Tuesday! Anyone been out there recently? I'm assuming the track must at least be PLACED by now, if not embedded.

It would involve both Duke and Francis, I believe.
