Good point, I imagine some people did sneak into the US.

Though, we still have people here who are drifting around precariously. A lot turn to crime or sex work as they cannot easily work. Some are also taken advantage of too. I'm vague friends with a cashier at a store I frequent. She's from India of course, essentially working in bondage at this store. The owner took her documents and underpays her under the table. She allows it to happen in fear of losing her job and facing more serious consequences.

Is there some evidence for this?

In many cases, they apparently have no idea where these people are now: https://nationalpost.com/news/canada/200...ed-to-them

Surely it can't be that hard for the CBSA to find people who are here and leeching off our society, then send em back home to wherever they came from. I mean, check any Tim Hortons or Walmart. Imagine us flying to India as "students", then essentially just vanish while working under the table? Maybe hook up with an Indian girl and pop out a kid so you get to stay? Lmao what a mess the Liberals have created.

I believe that many of them crossed the border to the U.S. and are no longer in Canada.

My Iranian student did not manage to get a US visa, even to visit to attend a conference. I don't think this is easy.

I dunno, it seems hard to cross the border from Canada into the US without a visa. Usually it's more overstayers than illegal crossings.

Hard to cross legally.

Not hard at all to cross here:

OK, that one is so obvious maybe they’re watching it way more than it appears. But the point is that it is a long border and there are all sorts of places to cross where roads come close on both sides. And by definition we’re talking about people who are to a greater or lesser degree desperate for a change, so a chance of capture may either be acceptable or just not something they’re really thinking about.

Plenty. Search around for it if you're curious.

ac3r: you made this claim so you must have already done the research and found the evidence, which you also claim there is plenty of.
Please save me from unnecessarily duplicating your research and provide the evidence for me here. Who knows, maybe others can benefit from your research.
Thank you in advance for your cooperation and have a peaceful evening!
