Well the anti-road safety gnomes are out on reddit in force.

I don't know how we make progress in our world. If the physical reality of speed causing collisions and injuries is so threatening to one's world view that you cannot even admit it...how do we solve that..I really don't know.

I saw a Shannon Weber video on Facebook where she said she wanted to open the residential speed limits issue again. I hadn't investigated the mayoral candidates' positions, but that made it easy to decide.

Yeah, I'm not surprised. I think the thing that really bugs me is the people who are claiming this was against what people wanted...they (including certain Record reporters) are knowingly misleading people.

Probably a pipe dream but I'd love to see Euro sized emergency vehicles used in the region. Just one less barrier to over-building our roads. Our fire trucks are huge, trying to pass one coming from the other direction on Guelph Street when they are cruising around is not a trivial task.

The irony that we have those enormous Mac truck engines but then have to ensure no main road has a speed hump. I guess the Dutch and Danish houses just burn to the ground?
