Passed by this site last night, and there were a bunch of jersey walls fully blocking off the right-turn lane on Frederick alongside the lot. No signage about what's going on, but maybe the first step to starting this building?

It looks like it's strictly road construction at this point, as there is a large hold dug into the right-hand lane.

Rumour for this site is that progress has slowed because sales have slowed (I've been seeing a ton of ads for it on IG lately, so that tracks), and they're still working towards final site approval with the city.

This one is pretty much dead. I am sure we will see a new render of the building in 2028.

That Instagram ad has been going around for at LEAST 6 months that I've seen. I'm pretty sure I registered on their website for updates (it was honestly ages ago now), and I haven't seen anything from that end, yet. Hard to know where exactly this is standing.

Or maybe trying that 'Centre in the Square' arts-focused thing that Avenue M was doing before it got cancelled? You could pitch the concept of living across the street from CITS and down the block from the Registry Theatre, and having a higher-end restaurant or two on the ground floor for people who want dinner and drinks before/after a show.

I don't think they are any less attractive for people who are considering living in one. The attractiveness of condos as an investment has fallen off a cliff, though.

Well, that's a bit scary in the context of the Kitchener condo market. That's why I'm surprised that new projects aren't rental.

Some of us do actually live in condos that we own.
