We're really sorry about cancelling your reservation. Unfortunately, there were unforeseen delays in the construction and, despite being able to temporarily finish the 5th floor for this weekend's Bluesfest 2016, we will be re-closing our top 3 floors until September in order to ensure that we are ready to be at full capacity September 15.

It's our mistake and we want you to know that your experience would not have been on par with what we wish to offer our guests under the new direction (and new renovations!) that we've undertaken.

Thanks for posting here and clarifying.  We were able to rebook our guests at the Crown Plaza.  We would have preferred the Walper, but as you said, things don't always go according to plans.

Communication helps, though.  Your message here is great, but the voicemail still says "August" and the web site says "Spring 2016", so it would be good to update those to reduce confusion.  Thanks!

You are correct - that information is not accurate. I am sending a request through to update them both today. Thanks for your understanding and being a really positive individual to work with. All the best and I hope we will see you in the future Smile
