I have to say, the concrete on the sides looks a lot differnt than I thought it would when you compare it to the rendering. It makes the building look like it's from the 1970s/1980s, though I think it was intentional to match 305 King beside it, which Perimeter also owns and redeveloped. Either way, it's still a nice building to have downtown.

Yes sorry. I'm not sure why they flip sideways but I found a way around it for future photos I post

If you right click and select "view image" they will show in the correct orientation.

Construction is still paused here. But the two buildings look quite good together from the Charles St side.

I still find it a bit bulky for the site, but I do like the way it plays off the tower.

I think it'll fit in nicely once the charles side is developed

It's supposed to be a municipal parking garage, no?

Not sure why they had to include the concrete - And not go glass/modern all the way through!

Charles st...a parking lot yuck...they should reconsider that now with so many companies inevitably considering more work from home arrangements...great place for a premier mixed use dev Wink

That's in the city's plan, but money isn't budgeted for it yet so anything remains possible. It'll be a hard sell at council to spend that much money on a garage when Charles/Benton is still so far from full.

IMO the current lot only has a waiting list because it's close to some buildings and significantly cheaper than a parking garage pass. They could just make it the same price as the parking garage and I bet the demand would disperse.

Yeah. I think at this point the parking garage is just a placeholder. But redesignating it at this time would probably require a new study that shows it's not going to be needed in the future, either.

I forgot about that.  Good call.  I hope plans change though.
