Circa 1877 (née Brick Brewery) | 20 fl | Complete

On https://circa1877.ca/suites2 both of the photos of suites are real photos. You can click on the photo for each suite and it pops up a carousel of photos that take you around the unit, and has the floorplan. The units match the layouts, and in one you see the other buildings (faintly) out the window). They're very well done professional photo shoots of staged apartments, but they're real photos.

Ah okay I see those 2 units now...nice decor and finishes for sure. Wish they'd gone for Windows a bit bigger/wider. I like loft style where essentially the entire exterior "wall" us window (personally).

You’d think they could tint precast concrete, but I guess it could be a challenge to get a uniform result.

There are lots of options for architectural precast concrete, including colour, texture and brick or stone faces. See here:
http://www.cpci.ca/en/precast_solutions/architectural/

Arrow 2, for example, is using coloured precast concrete. You can see the colour in the photo below, and the render on the first page will give you an idea of what they are doing.

A sculpture outside of this condo will be unveiled on Friday. According to The Record...

Quote:It that shows a gorilla looking at a smartphone with the image of a banana where Apple’s corporate logo is normally found.

...huh? Here is the Tweet mentioned in the article that shows it.

I think it's very cool, a lot of meaning there for sure, as with many of this artists' pieces. I'm reading up on him now - we need even more grand pieces like this around the Region!

The banana lights up at night ha.

I like it!

I wonder why Beisan described it as unsettling?

In her tweet about the statue it was still mostly wrapped up, only the base gorilla was exposed and that was due to torn covering. With only the base gorilla, vacantly staring at a phone with a large pillar of something unknown, a lot of the whimsy is lost I think.

So is the exterior done done? Or more glass coming? It feels a bit incomplete still
