That hideous building beside it is like a train crash, you know it isn't going to be good to look at, but you cant help yourself... I still cant believe a bunch of people thought it was a good idea..

I honestly thought that building looked okay from a distance - at first. It's when you get up close you realize how utterly cheap the thing is. And now, the dark grey panels on one side are starting to get discoloured and get white blotches on them (visible in some photos on page 5). ONE28 doesn't seem like it'll be much better, though with more glass it should not look as cheaply made. In 15 years we're going to wonder what they were thinking when these postmodern student buildings/discount condo buildings start to age horribly.

Lots of progress here. They were delivering some precast panels today, I assume for wall sections.

They've poured most of the seventh floor, some forms are up for the eighth.

@jwilliamson Can you see where they put those precast panels you posted a photo of earlier? Maybe they are the parking garage cladding? I'm curious how they look.

It's garage cladding. It's on the second floor facing Elgin. I'll try to get a picture for you.

Thanks.  Looks maybe bland but it's hard to make judgement yet.

They've taken down the construction hoardings over the sidewalk on King.

More exterior paneling going up the last few days, mostly facing King St.

A few panes of glass have been installed on the east side of the tower.
