744 King Street East | 8 fl | Proposed
#1
A developer is proposing an 8 floor mixed use building at 744 King Street East. A total of 36 residential units is proposed along with 58 square meters of commercial space on the ground floor.

No word on who the developer is nor are there any renderings/plans available yet, but I thought I'd start a thread and update it when more information becomes available.

The former wedding shop -- that would be a welcome project. The density is going up fast on this stretch of King St.

Noticed the old shop is boarded up the other day. Nice to learn what is going in its place.

744 is the empty lot on the other corner where the insurance broker used to be. The wedding shop building is 762.

It's where the old insurance office burned down.

Something is happening at the old Ballett's building though. They've been working on the interior for a while and put new front doors in a little while ago.

Thanks -- an empty lot is even better.

That entire sides could use the development/face lift. I'm all for it

This is just the corner lot (currently grassed with a single large tree), then? Because 720 with its single story commercial and large parking area seems ripe for development as well.

The old wedding shop is going to be "Trends for Men".
