Hospitals in KW
(05-14-2024, 09:38 AM)Rainrider22 Wrote: The plan to make this the only Emergency department has been in the details all along  This is why I was saying, north Waterloo is stupid.  People will die by the time the ambulance gets you to the hospital if you live in Kitchener..

Is this the case or is it just the upgraded acute care centre that would reduce the amount of Ornge flights that are hauling out from KW? The proposal in the consortium site still indicates that mid-town (GRH) would be ambulatory and urgent care. Not to say that the acute care wouldn't also benefit from being central, sort of definitionally, but I think that is getting mixed up with there being no ER/urgent care in town at all.

Just to clarify, Cambridge ER is still an option for south Kitchener.
