I have to say, living in a converted church would be really cool.

This church on Blvd. St. Laurent in Montreal's Little Italy has been converted to housing.  It looks pretty good to me.

Seems like this is well underway now, noticed construction fencing up around the property and lots of workers onsite while driving past today

I was sneaking around this site earlier today when I was bored and waiting for a train. I had no idea they removed a good portion of the church itself and only kept the walls. Should be interesting to see when it's done and I hope it is successful at offering affordable supportive housing.

This kind of reminds of the old Alexandra St elementary school that got converted into condos. I wonder if something similar could be done with the church at 32 Weber St West; I believe they were trying to sell that building a few years ago, and the only real bite they had was someone who wanted to turn it into a nightclub, but the church didn't like that and chose not to sell to them.

Not sure if anyone has moved into this project yet (the last post mentions "starting this fall) but it appears to be more or less complete.

Yes, this is complete and people have started moving in. The architect shared this video a short while ago.
