Burgers
#1
We have a thread for pizza, I figure there should be one for burgers as well?  Especially ones that survive delivery during COVID times, or have a physical location that allows safe onsite dining?

I just tried YUMMY Burgers off Northfield in Waterloo (same plaza as Classic Indian).  Everything's made fresh to order.  Ate it in their parking lot, and it was quite good!

Prior to COVID I was also a fan of burgers from the following places (listed alphabetically).  Haven't tried them since COVID, or they're not even offered on their menus:
  • Abe Erb (not offering food since COVID)
  • Crazy Canuck (haven't tried since COVID)
  • Lancaster Smokehouse (not on menu since COVID)
  • The Bent Elbow (haven't tried since COVID)
  • The Works (tried once since COVID, but they didn't pack well for takeout - it was a soggy mess by the time it got tous)

If you are willing to cook it yourself, Fore Quarter has my favourite burgers. Especially the ones with cheese, onions, etc. in them.

As far as restaurants go, Abe Erb (Kitchener) always disappointed me for how much people hype up their burgers. I tried Hemlock Burger once close to their opening, the burger was quite good but the food to price ratio was a bit poor. I'd still recommend giving it a try at least once to see what you think.

Abe Erb was serving food on their patio at least a month ago.
