Really good sushi is quite something to experience, well worth what it costs (to me, I recognize it's a privilege to be able to).

Looks like only 1 elevator and the parking is automated. Not exactly the best building to live in if you need to get somewhere in a hurry!

I don't understand what you mean by an "automated" elevator.

It's the parking that's automated (and of course the elevator, but that's a given). https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Automate...ing_system

This means even once you get down the elevator, you'll have another wait as the system retrieves your car.

Exactly what Taylor said. Your car is parked in a specific stall that gets mechanically moved around amongst other cars which are stacked. Think of it like a vending machine for your car.

It should be possible to request the car before actually getting to the garage. No idea if they’ve thought of this, of course.

Thanks for your responses. I understand now.

Only one elevator? Maybe, but I think they have one of these "static escalators", too. You know, looks just like an escalator but the steps don't actually move ...

Speaking as someone who lived in a building with a 2 slower elevators it can add a few minutes to your journey, even if you're not on the top floor. Might not sound like a big deal but it's annoying at times

We live on the fifth floor, and I rarely take the elevator going down (more often when coming back up). No waiting, some exercise and no electricity consumed. Of course, each person had different priorities.

I think people are or are close to living here. Some guy was struggling with the door at the parking garage tonight.

There was fencing up around here yesterday when I walked past.

Did an "insert into post" for you so that we can see the complete photo.

There have been ads on Facebook Marketplace for a few months now. They used to say January occupancy but now say end of February. Maybe staggered move in dates? There has been a lack of construction vehicles parked on the streets around it for a few weeks, so even if it's not completely done the work crew is a lot smaller.

The building permit on the window of the other commercial unit says it will be a takeout only Portuguese restaurant.
