How many tower cranes in 2018
#16
Did we really not do this the last two years?

I think we are close enough to 2021 that we won't have any new cranes going up this year. So what's our final number?

There were updates yesterday about crane bases at Ophelia and a project on Albert, I wouldn't stop counting 2020 yet. Certainly has to be some sort of record, I count a dozen cranes in DTK right now.

We've got to be around 25+ for the year, even if they're not all currently up

For DTK?
  • Drewlo x2
  • The Scott (now down)
  • DTK
  • Young Condos
  • Arrow 2
  • Barra (now down)
  • Charlie West
  • 100 Victoria/Garment St x3
  • Breithaupt phase 3
  • Station Park
That's 14 ... what am I missing? 345, Mayfair and Market Flats only used mobile cranes.

Assuming this is just for 2020, the 345 crane came down late 2019, and a mobile crane was used in 2020.

Did we ever figure out an number for this. The Q1 crane index just came out. Would be curious to know where KW falls in amongst major american cities

The report only has Toronto and Calgary for Canada. 208 for Toronto and 35 for Calgary.

I know. Hence why I asked if we determined the number of cranes we had. I was curious specifically because it's not on the report but I wanted to know where wed rank.

Can we try to figure it out? There's...12 currently downtown? I rarely go uptown or near the universities so I'm not sure how many are there, but there seems to be a few student buildings still going up. I think there's still 1 at Ira Needles/Highland. Gaslight Condos in Cambridge has at least 1 or 2.

Gaslight has 2 and they're the only cranes in cambridge that I know of currently.

There's at least 6 cranes I can think of in waterloo but I'm sure theres more. I believe theres a crane still up at the homer Watson block line development too
