It's a weekend off for Waterloo Region reporting so we need to wait until Monday.
Ontario reported 178 new cases for a seven-day average of 168 new cases. 175 recoveries and only six deaths translate to a drop of just three active cases, now down to 1,889, and a weekly total change of -262. 28,633 tests today for a 0.6% positivity rate. The positivity rate is averaging just 0.7% for the past seven days.
The new cases are 0.5% of the total and 9.4% of the number of active cases. New cases averaging 8.4% of actives over the past seven days.
The hospital population is down to 214 (-38) and the ICU population is at another new low of 51 (-3).

Waterloo Region reported 16 new cases over the past three days. The daily new case increase averaged 0.4% of the total cases to date and 6.5% of the current active caseload. Active cases in the region were steady at 82, and up six in the past seven days, from 76 to 82.
1420 people reported tested in the region (473/day), with only a 1.1% positivity rate. Over the last seven days, we are averaging 583 tests per day and a very good 1.0% positivity rate.
Ontario reported 257 new cases, the highest since June 5th, for a seven-day average of 182 new cases. 89 recoveries and only seven deaths translate to an increase of 161 active cases, now back up to 2,050, and a weekly total change of -45. 27,127 tests today for a 0.9% positivity rate. The positivity rate is averaging just 0.7% for the past seven days.
The new cases are 0.7% of the total and 12.5% of the number of active cases. New cases averaging 9.1% of actives over the past seven days.
The hospital population jumped back up to 232 (+18) but the ICU population is at another new low of 46 (-5).

Should be noted though: of the new cases, 177 of them were in Windsor — so minus Windsor, Ontario had 80 new cases, which might be a new low.

It's a good point ... but until SWOEXIT happens it's part of Ontario so we shouldn't cherry-pick too much. 
But it does mean that today's high count is not an indication of wide community spread (unless the farm workers have been infecting others outside the farms).

Should be noted though: of the new cases, 177 of them were in Windsor — so minus Windsor, Ontario had 80 new cases, which might be a new low.
They also removed some double counted cases in Toronto. So instead of TO showing 47 new cases, it showed -4. Not sure how recent those cases that were doubled counted are, but today's amount released should be higher.

Waterloo Region also keeps adjusting past numbers, up or down by one or two, here or there. Not as big as the Toronto adjustment, though.

Waterloo Region reported six new cases today; the new case increase was 0.5% of the total cases to date and 6.7% of the current active caseload. Active cases in the region were down by three to 90, and up five in the past seven days, from 85 to 90.
1073 people reported tested in the region, with only a 0.6% positivity rate. Over the last seven days, we are averaging 557 tests per day and a solid 1.1% positivity rate.
Ontario reported 157 new cases for a seven-day average of 174 new cases. 148 recoveries and only seven deaths translate to an increase of two active cases, now back up to 2,052, and a weekly total change of -75. 23,759 tests today for a 0.7% positivity rate. The positivity rate is averaging just 0.65% for the past seven days.
The new cases are 0.4% of the total and 7.7% of the number of active cases. New cases averaging 8.7% of actives over the past seven days.
The hospital population is jumping a lot recently; now back down to a record-low 213 (-19) and the ICU population is also at another new low of 42 (-4).

Waterloo Region reported nine new cases today; the new case increase was 0.7% of the total cases to date and 9.5% of the current active caseload. There was one death -- the first in four weeks -- so the active cases in the region were up by five to 95, and up six in the past seven days, from 89 to 95.
No update on the number of tests today.
Ontario will report tomorrow.

No testing data reported today, either, for the region.
Ontario reported an average of 151 new cases the past two days, for a seven-day average of 166 new cases. An average of 193 recoveries for those two days, and only four deaths per day translated to an average decrease of 46 active cases, which are now back under 2,000, at 1,960, and a weekly total change of -76. An average of 25,189 tests for the past two days for a 0.6% positivity rate. The positivity rate is averaging just 0.7% for the past seven days.
The new cases are 0.4% of the total and 7.6% of the number of active cases. New cases averaging 8.4% of actives over the past seven days.
Incomplete overall hospital admission data today but the ICU population has dropped further to 40 (-2).

Testing data reported now (the past two days there was no data), but only 856 tests over the past three days -- are they no longer doing testing clinics? The positivity was 1.5% for those three days, and maybe 1.0% today. 1.0% average positivity rate over the last seven days.
And I just noticed a bit of good news: the outbreak at Forest Heights Revera was finally declared to be over on Tuesday!
Ontario reported 165 new cases today, for a seven-day average of 174 new cases. 179 recoveries and only two deaths -- a new low -- translated to a decrease of 16 active cases, which are now at 1,944, in spite of a weekly total change of +26. 24,194 tests for a 0.5% positivity rate. The positivity rate is averaging just 0.75% for the past seven days.
The new cases are 0.5% of the total and 8.5% of the number of active cases. New cases averaging 8.8% of actives over the past seven days.
Hospital population now down to just 155 while the ICU population held steady at 40 (+0).

The positivity rate is averaging just 0.7% for the past seven days.
The new cases are 0.3% of the total and 6.4% of the number of active cases. New cases averaging 8.5% of actives over the past seven days.
Hospital population now down to just 150 (-5) and the ICU population dropped to 39 (-1).
With the mask mandates getting rolled out in many regions, hopefully we can nudge the active case population into a more rapid decline.

Hospital population now down to just 139 (-11) and the ICU population steady at 39 (+0).

Here is how bad it could be ... the (not so) fabulous four states south of the border, with new cases surging. Governors claiming it's just because they are testing more, but the test positivity rate is 15-25%, so they really aren't even doing enough testing. (Sufficient testing should result in a positivity rate well below 5%.)
Ontario has been in the 0.7% range for the past few weeks, and NJ/NY, which were hit hard early in the pandemic, now have their positivity rates in the 1.0-1.5% range. Sadly the other states did not appear to pay heed to these lessons -- many more, beyond these four, are also at over 10% positivity.

Scary thing is that California, Texas and Florida are the 3 biggest states, in that order. New York is the 4th largest. Together those 4 states make up about 1/3 the US population. But with the largest 3 having these issues, it's going to make a mess of that country. For some context, if Ontario was a state, it would be the 5th largest.
We have no idea how good we have it here in Canada. Just insane.
