Lots of them available on amazon.ca as well, both the modern plastic varieties (used by Japanese people to pack their lunches) and the more traditional wooden ones. $20+ each for the nicer ones, but you can spend much more, too.

I think you can get the plastic take-away kind used in restaurants at the wholesale club in Waterloo, they sell a lot of restaurant supplies. It's been a while since I've been in there though.

For bento boxes, that Miniso, Japanese lifestyle store in Conestoga Mall should have some options.

There must be a Kitchener Market thread somewhere, but I couldn't find it, so I'll note here that the Kitchener Market will be running a market on four consecutive Wednesdays, starting June 26. The market will run from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
I'd uge everyone to spread the word and to try to make the Wednesday market part of your routine for these four weeks - the only way the pilot can succeed is if people actually come out and shop. From the sounds of things, it will also be a good spot for Wednesday evening drinks and dinner, with music. https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/kitchener...-1.5122247

I noticed yesterday that the Kitchener Holiday Inn has been re-branded as Sunbridge Hotel. Seems like an independent chain, they do not mention IHG rewards. I thought the Kitchener Hotel was quite up to date and busy as its been Holiday Inn forever.
