We need more year round events to keep giving us something to do. There were a lot of people and families out as well.. great night and event..

It's great to see that they expand each year. The outdoor market was much more populated this year.

Christie Digital is putting on a cool projection display tonight at 6pm at Kitchener City Hall.

From tonight until January 2nd!
Every hour (on the hour, from 7pm - onwards) there's a 5 minute "show", and then some pretty visuals in between. The content will change gradually throughout the season. There'll also be a special New Year's Eve ball drop show too! I know this because I helped create the content

/\ Tres cool!

It was great, GtwoK! We really enjoyed it. Well done!

Good to hear that you enjoyed it, because 2 of the projectors ended up being quite choppy and required a few hours of fixing after the first show tonight, haha
Should all be set for the next few weeks now, though. If anyone happens to be downtown, keep checking back!

We noticed the projector on the left seemed to be stuttering a bit, but figured it'd be fixed by the time the next show began.
Berry I think gave a really great pat on the back to the folks at Christie - it's pretty cool we have such a major player with their home here in Waterloo Region!

The current exhibit at the Waterloo Region Museum is Tyrannosaurus Meet the Family.
This is pretty neat to check out if you get a chance. http://www.waterlooregionmuseum.com/exhi...he-family/

CTV Kitchener has cut their local sports coverage as of today. 8 people at the station lost their job as a result. This is disappointing to the local media and news scene. I am a big believer in local news, and still frequently watch local news on cable.

Oh man, this is crap!
While they can editorialise quite badly at times (specially on LRT), CTV Kitchener is one of only three channels I watch in the lower channel numbers (CBC and TVO being the others), and then only for their local news. Reducing local coverage of any sort reduces my reasons for tuning in. Shame on you, CTV!

Why have a local station that doesn't cover the local area? I kept my cable package just to get the local news. This is a real shame.

The CKCO signal is strong enough that a coat hanger as antenna should get you enough signal, but any $25 indoor antenna will do.

Where would I buy such an antenna?
