I'm pretty sure Momentum was offering those furnishing packages in some of the deals on those units as an incentive to buy. That may have just been a purchaser taking advantage of that package and it looks familiar. I've heard people are starting to occupy the lower floors. Does anyone know for sure? Pardon me if this has already been answered.

Someone's posted a tour of an 8th floor unit to YouTube:
Looks like he's moving to Asia, and needs to sell his presale: https://www.facebook.com/groups/22109178...989072882/

Also was looking at rentals just now. Here's one off Kijiji.
Note: Quote:In the heart of the Innovation District at King & Victoria; the future transit hub is across the street, GO and ViaRail station a short walk away, and Starbucks downstairs. Oh? Was this known before? I don't remember hearing about a Starbucks moving in on the 1st floor. I mean, you can't go wrong with that location though. It's the perfect spot for one.

Starbucks was rumoured here and elsewhere a while back, but I never heard anything official confirming it.

I also heard ScotiaBank was going to locate there as well.

There was an offhand mention of Deloitte, which presumably is the consulting company moving into the remaining Tannery building that's past Joseph Street?

is it just me, or is one victoria taking extremely long to finish? How long has it been so far since breaking the ground?

The Deloitte reference might just be to their space in the Communitech hub. See http://www2.deloitte.com/ca/en/pages/pre...itech.html

I'd hold pause on Scotiabank speculation. It's not the smallest ground level commercial, but to split it between a Scotiabank and a Starbucks, you'd have to expect that both would be on the small side.

Or they are reading WRC! It's a good location, but with Williams, Matter of Taste, Coffee Culture and Cafe Pyrus already in downtown, Starbucks will have some competition. But it would be the closest one for Google and UW employees, for sure.

Isn't Condo Culture also planning a street front location here as well?

Thinking back to the size of the TriOS college+Carbon computing it seems to me that there is ample space for a bank branch and a Starbucks there. |
