The rational for the reflective glass podium is that it will show the century homes on the opposite side of the street. There might be more detail in the heritage committee minutes if some knows where to find it.

But more seriously, I must be misunderstanding the site here, because I don't see any century homes (or any SFHs) across the streets from this site. Just one adjacent at 79 Benton.
