Good, although I wonder what the Cedar-facing facade will look like?
This could probably go into the General thread rather than being own thread.

Nimbell Holdings, that doesn't show up in a search, is bound the be the property owner rather than the developer. Of course the could just contract subtrades themselves, though.

There would certainly be potential for the Cedar facing side to be quite nice. 🤞

There are a lot of interesting facades on these two blocks of Cedar, between King and Weber. I have my fingers crossed for something with brick and a classic look to match the little townhouse complex next door.

As long as it's not a blank wall with gas meters and crap on it. We've seen that before ...

This property is on the agenda for the committee of adjustment meeting on October 17th. Requesting variances to allow for a 3 storey, 10 unit building with no parking. It's strange though because this property still has a for sale sign on it (so maybe the variances are a condition of sale?) and it's also still listed on Vive's website as a proposed 6 storey, 35 unit building.

This has been cleared and has fencing around it for weeks now. Don't know if construction is starting or fencing just to keep people out.

Looks nice. Good addition to what is becoming a quaint little area.

Oh yeah, I forgot about this one. It's one of the first large projects the people involved have done...will be interesting to see how it turns out. No idea if Vive is still involved with it or not. I assume not and they just flipped the property to someone else. I guess in the end they went with the 3 floor idea. Initially I believe it was Vive proposing to maybe do 6 floors with something like 35 units and the building looked very brutalist with the amount of concrete visible and minimal windows on some sides of the building plan. Honestly looked like something you'd see in a Japanese city, I thought it was pretty cool and minimalist. A smaller building and lower density suits this area best anyway, in my opinion. I don't think it'll ever be too heavily densified since it has a certain character with the hills. Small, dense builds like this would be perfect for the area. Anything between 3 to 6 or 7 floors everywhere would be great, especially if they move ahead with the idea they've been working on to pedestrianize either Cedar or Eby.

That's a gorgeous bit of infill. It looks like there's no parking there, right? I'm glad they seem to have forgone vehicle space - this spot is so well-connected for transit and amenities that it would have been a waste.

The foundation is done being poured. Seems like this will go up fast.
