I hadn't heard about anything being filmed in town. I wonder what this is for? Nice way for the owners to spin a bit of revenue while the hotel remains closed.
EDIT: Filming is for the TV version of "12 Monkeys".

Browsing streetview, it looks like 9 West 23rd Street doesn't actually exist, at least, not in Manhattan. The building that is occupying where 9 would be has an address on 5th Ave.

I checked Philly, and 23rd St is a north-south street there, so no dice. Baltimore doesn't appear to have one. This is a decidedly fictional location.

Has anyone heard whether the sale of Zion United Church on Weber St has now been completed? I think the move of Rockway Mennonite out of Zion and into the former Olivet United is now underway. I am very interested to learn what will become of the Zion building.

48 Weber has been sold to a North York based developer for 2.4 million.
That kind of money tells me they'll be completely renovating the space.

Lucky for the seller, he was able to give them a building that was already vacant as he had allowed it to become unsafe to occupy. Shrewd.

At least they have stopped burning them down when they wanted to change tenants/owners. This whole thing seems like a cooked deal.

Their notice says it's a "redevelopment project." To me that suggests it may be more than a renovation. If they add on to the building I hope it won't end up like the Mayfair Hotel.

Interesting ... Urbanfund (the buyer) is headed by Mitchell Cohen, who is also the CEO of Westdale Construction. I believe they are also building the Sage series of properties in Northdale -- as well as the far bigger One Bloor in Toronto.

I saw that and assumed that they were putting in a new sub-floor.
Subfloor is in, drywall is in. Needs flooring and the walls finished.
