Ottawa LRT
My brother lives in Ottawa, apparently getting tickets was a real chore on a poorly designed site and he gave up trying. Pity.

Bummer! I'll be going potentially this weekend, so I'll make sure to reserve tickets well in advance.

My Father-in-Law went last week. Apparently there is a standby line too, which got him in relatively quickly.

He sent me a couple pictures, but I think you have to be there to appreciate it.

From this week past:

Lyon Station - Above ground passenger entrance. [In addition to the entrance from Sparks St and the food court below the Marriott]

Looking down at the work progressing on the future underground station.

Had a bit of time to waste before my train left Ottawa, so I walked over to visit the Trembley station under construction:

The Confederation Line station as seen from the VIA Rail Station.

Looking from the west side of the station.

I did notice a WiFi hotspot called "OLRT Trembly". Didn't try to connect, but I wonder if they will have free WiFi on the system!

I would still like your suggestion of the continuous black windows!

At least it looks like Toronto's going to do that!

Ottawa is going to name their LRV's!

Love this so much. Besançon is my favourite, because it's so classy:

Besançon did this for their tramway, and I've always loved how it turned out. cc: @rideIONrt pic.twitter.com/jMR81WcyPE
— ? But even just a simple name on each vehicle brings a smile to my face. I was grinning from ear to ear every time one of the Stockholm metro trains rolled in.

I don't understand why it looks like there's overspray between the stripes. That does look terrible, I agree.

Nice to see the final livery.
