This is definitely the right kind of infill in the right place. It ma not be pretty but it fills a much needed void. The area already has some density, and is well served by transit, plus the housing in this area isn’t home to the typical nimby folk.

Anyone know what (if anything) goes on the large blank pieces of wall, that are above the last balcony and stick up higher than the main roof parapet wall?

Probably nothing. I think it's just some attempt at ornamentation. Maybe they'll be a different colour but I can't see them doing anything else with it.

Once again: architects need to stop with that staggered facade effect. Good god it looks awful. It's like someone colour blind painted it and didn't realize they were putting different colours in random places.
I need to think of a term for this. The Tetris aesthetic, perhaps?

The actual dazzle painted building near H-W and the expressway looks way better.

Why do they insist on painting everything grey? If they need to use 4 different colours, couldn't they at least choose some that aren't grey?

It's the Dollarama quality post-modern attempt at brutalism. Or something. It's ugly that's for sure.

$2000/month for 1BR ... on Strasburg Rd? It seems to be the going rate downtown now, but surely this far away should be less expensive.
