I wish Canadian apartments had glassed in three season rooms like that rather than open air balconies.

Yes ... although those glassed-in balconies can get quite hot in the summer.

Hence windows that can be opened ...

Even so! But, yes, that does help somewhat.

My in laws condo in Mississauga is a glassed in solarium. Yes, it can get hot but it is a lot of extra useable space too..

Well this building is not going to be the nicest in the Region, but it seems to be looking better than what I pictured based on the render.  I think it would have looked nicer if they just picked black or white for all of the spandrel panel mullions. I don't understand "Designers" (I am calling them designers because they don't deserve the title of architects) obsession with using 2 or three different colours of glass panelling. The tower portion of DTK might actually have look OK if they had just used the same colour of panels for the whole tower.

I noticed the real bricks as well. Shame the whole tower is precast, though at least that weird black and grey stripe effect on the "north" side of the podium is somewhat covered up by the huge transformer or whatever it is.

Hey, Rizz precast is proud of their design and happy to take credit

I just wish the LRT traction power substation had been designed to be integrated into future development. There is no good reason why it has to permanently sterilize a significant plot of land.

Nothing that a couple of benches and/or trees couldn't hide. A mural might be another option.
