Might as well just start using tozinameran blow darts on people in that case. What next? People will need to be vaccinated to pump their gas, pick up insulin or buy groceries? At best this would get a handful of people to bite the bullet and get vaccinated, but not that many. All it would really do is add fuel to the fire of anti-vaxxers and even normal people. Eventually you hit a point where what you're doing makes no sense...
The majority of the country is already vaccinated anyway. It doesn't stop transmission. It is now not keeping the vaccinated out of the ICU, either. In fact, there are more fully vaccinated Ontarians in the ICU right now than there are unvaccinated. Similarly, there are more fully vaccinated people currently hospitalized than there are unvaccinated. So.............? Do we just keep rolling up our sleeves? Will there soon be a loyalty card, perhaps? Get 9 shots of Pfizer, get your 10th free and a blueberry muffin. Maybe throw in some Aeroplan miles each time to keep people even more incentivized.
