Waterloo Region reported 19 new cases for today (13.6% of the active cases) and zero additional for yesterday for 20; 121 new cases for the week (-7 from yesterday and -4 from last week), averaging 12.1% of active cases. 140 active cases, -9 in the last seven days.
An average of 1,122 tests/day for the past seven days for a positivity rate of 1.54%, well below the 1.84% of last week.
1,732 doses of vaccine administered yesterday, with a seven-day average at 1,677 (previous week was 2,192). 69.52% of total regional population vaccinated (+0.10% from yesterday, +0.55% from 7 days ago), 63.05% fully vaccinated (+0.18% from yesterday, +1.46% from 7 days ago).
Ontario reported 650 new cases today with a seven-day average of 518 (+20), compared to 399 a week ago. 444 recoveries and two deaths translated to an increase of 204 active cases and a new total of 4,447. +1,337 active cases for the week and 13 deaths (two per day). 28,635 tests with a positivity rate of 2.27%. The positivity rate is averaging 2.37% for the past seven days, compared to 2.05% for the preceding seven. 135 people in the ICU, +53 over the last week and almost double what we were seeing at the beginning of the month.
