Waterloo Region reported 42 new cases for today (9.8% of the active cases) and no more for yesterday for a total of 36; 344 new cases for the week (-1), averaging 12.8% of active cases. 433 active cases, +84 in the last seven days.
An average of 1,306 tests over the past week for a positivity rate of 3.76%.
Ontario reported 966 new cases today with a seven-day average of 1,098 (-1). 979 recoveries and eight deaths translated to a drop of 21 active cases and a new total of 10,546. +250 active cases for the week and 113 deaths (16 per day). 30,767 tests for a positivity rate of 3.14%. The positivity rate is averaging 2.26% for the past seven days, compared to 2.52% for the preceding seven.
In the past week there have been 152 cases (+7) of B.1.1.7 (UK), 18 cases (+0) of B.1.351 (SA) and two cases (+0) of P.1 (BR) variant.
