Today there are 1'707 reported new cases in Ontario with 193 people now in ICUs. CBC has a headline (although not a story itself) that says "Province adding intensive care beds as a record high 1,746 new COVID-19 cases reported yesterday". I guess we're starting to put enough pressure on the ICUs in the province if we're scrambling to add more ICU beds.
Locally, public health has gone after the Mennonite community due to the spike in community transmission taking place there. Specifically, they're finding old order Mennonite groups to be the primary cause as they are not listening to public health rules.
