I'm deeply sorry for your loss.
As for finding volunteers: that sounds difficult. I would suspect that existing service groups might be more likely to work than the Internet: https://www.cambridge.ca/en/parks-recrea...tions.aspx. The Internet isn't so great at motivating people to show up in person at a thing, whereas service groups may be.
