Kitchener issued $249M in building permits in the first five months of the year, up slightly from $244M last year. SFH showed the most growth, from $45M to $79M, so other construction (multi-residential and commercial) actually fell somewhat from $204M to $165M. Still, it's a strong performance in a COVID-19 year.
