Quote:Ontario's intensive care and ventilator capacity is in a good position, (Health Minister Christine) Elliott said, though hospitalization numbers have been rising, partly due to long-term care residents being moved to hospital.
That explains things. The ICU number has been pretty stable for the last three weeks, but during that same time the total number of hospital beds has gone up from 614 to 910.
