This is the kind of location where I wish the region decided to go with green tracks for the LRT. Instead of rusty concrete beds as we have now, it could have been a nice strip of grass with bits of wildflowers. They look good, but also provide benefits for drainage and mitigate heat island effects.
Yea I 100% agree. It is literally superior in every way except for maintenance. They could just not mow it very often(so the wildflowers can thrive) and when they do they can jerryrig one of the trams with a mowing attachment underneath one of the cars or something. Also small shrubs on the parts in between the double track sections could also cut down on maintenace cus they won't have to mow, and hearty shrubs won't need much either.
