Ignorant question, are trades in high-rise ununionized in Kitchener and affected by the strikes?

Many of the trades are affected by the strike, all of the drewlo sites are completely shut down due to it, and there's been less activity at other sites so there is definitely an affect, the ones that don't seem to be affected are the sites that are using local contactors.
