Yellow/buff brick! Was that the original part of the church, and then the red brick was added afterward? Or is it just red paint?

Buff brick on interior sides of walls of multi-brick depth is pretty common in K-W. I've always assumed that it was cheaper or otherwise more available than red brick back in the day. The brick in the demolition pic would have been installed sometime after the original sanctuary was built (i.e. the sanctuary building now being demolished is the original church, not a replacement of an earlier church on that site, afaik).

I remember reading about it, but I can't remember where I read it. But it had something to do with the German population, or more correctly, the German population that came from Pennsylvania, weren't exactly flush with cash, if you know what I mean. So certain brick, and in this case, the yellow, was less expensive than the red. Many places were double bricked back then, as the air in between layers of brick was considered the insulation. So it could have been very well that the yellow brick was only interior to save on money.

I believe it's a local material, and its availability is the prime reason for yellow brick buildings in the area, before mass-produced options from elsewhere were the option of choice.

Yes, it was definitely local, both in the Region and down in London. I believe that I read once that the yellow colour comes from a high content of lime.

The back of the church is coming down. Can't post the picture right now, but I'll take another on my walk home and post both.

What is the target occupancy of this? Trying to work backwards. I'm curious if they'll start digging as soon as the church is down and site is cleared.

As I drove in this morning (hence no pictures), the final "tower" and front facade of the church was coming down. I suspect by end of day today, all of Trinity United will be rubble.

I thought the "mundi" might be going too far and I didn't know how to say "of Kitchener" in Latin!
