I'm not sure it's a loss for Victoria Park. But it is a gain for Castle Kilbride, and might well draw more visitors there. I think it's a much better choice of location than either Victoria Park or WLU.

To each their own - I will never concede that Victoria Park was not the perfect spot for these statues (not necessarily around the Commons as originally proposed. I would have placed them around the lake.) Anyway, ancient history now.
The life-sized, bronze statues of 22 of Canada's prime ministers have finally found a permanent home at Castle Kilbride in Baden.

Globe Studios (141 Witney Pl at Cedar St) is holding their Spring Invitational Art Show and Open House from 1600hrs to 2100hrs today, Friday May 6th. The work of 28 local artists will be on display. Well worth a visit, based on my experience of previous open houses.

What the heck happened to the Public Art in the Region thread? Or did I dream that one had been created out of a discussion of "Aporia" on Frederick St.?

Yes it is, thanks! IMHO it has been placed in the wrong forum. It should be over here in Arts and Culture.

Yes, I happened to see that one yesterday. Now will make an actual effort to see some of the other ones.

I thought we had a thread on movies and TV shows filmed in the region, couldn't find it this morning but a Christmas movie is being filmed in Cambridge this week.
