Interesting wooden porch they have built on the Pine side.

I wonder if any of the retail units have been designed in a way to accommodate a restaurant. If someone opened up a quick take out place, they'd do great business with the apartments, KCI and most importantly the hospital. It's just close enough that visitors and staff could grab lunch or dinner without having to waste half their break walking there. The area doesn't have too many options for that as Belmont is a little bit too far for it to be useful to anyone at GRH.

That porch is the access to the construction elevator, if you look at the top of the third floor where the plywood ends you can see the top of the support column for it.

So is this one going to use precast?  Looked like forms before, now looks like precast.

My guess is it is for the service elevator once it is erected

Looks like the first two floors (the podium) were formed, and then it's precast above.

95% sure the wood walls are a requirement to protect the hoist way for construction hoist. Same with the wooden overhang its to protect workers waiting for the hoist.

On a similar note to the TEK tower discussion, the tower crane and the hoist always creates a small problem, GC/concrete contractor have to pick between the lesser of two evils.
On this project, looks like they will have to infill the first two cast in place floors where the hoist location is, otherwise it wont align with the tower.

Podium panels are up on the north side and back of building. Looks worse than DTK panels, these have a grey and white to them. At least DTK has grey white and black, lol

Here's a better one of the SE corner and back:

It seems a pretty random pattern. Is the front of the building the same?

No panels on the front yet. 159 is a kinda wide shot of the front. Don't think the renders had panels in the front, right?

Ew. Did they get the leftovers from Duke Tower or was someone just having a sale on monochrome precast panels?

I wish Canadian apartments had glassed in three season rooms like that rather than open air balconies.
