Can’t believe I’m going to have to find the time and energy to write a letter to the editor in 2022. What utter nonsense.

That land must be worth a decent amount...

Do we have lists of proposed, in-progress, and completed projects any where?
I'm interested in towers in DTK or close to and the public amenities they built in return for the bonusing scheme.

They list their address as Staelber Place at 871 Victoria. I'd guess that is just an admin/dispatch office? They do lose the garage bays with this building sale so I wonder if they have another place for that already?
This morning, there's a company doing environmental soil testing behind the Ziggy's building. I suspect we'll hear about a proposal soon enough. Two or three months ago they were also doing testing at the little parking lot across from the old bus terminal on Charles Street. If I recall, someone said that one may be another IN8 project.

While working on my community garden plot at St. Andrew's Memorial Anglican Church on Mill St., I was told by my neighbour that the house next door (263/265 Mill) is going to be replaced by a condo development. I am not surprised. I would say that that whole block between Stirling and Heiman is ripe for redevelopment.

Just down the street from the location you're talking about, there's another church that is proposing a fairly large affordable housing project on its property (I have a thread here). That makes...I think three churches in the region who are taking it upon themselves to tackle the affordable housing crisis which is great to see. St. Marks Lutheran Church midtown is turning its church into affordable housing units and I think St. Matthews Lutheran Church downtown was attempting to do the same as well.

I doubt St Andrews still needs all its large parking lot out back but even if they are not involved, the lot for 265/265 Mill is very deep. Seems a good location for a mid-rise building or at least a row of towns.

I was told that IN8 is not the purchaser of Ziggy's but it is a local group. I haven't seen anything concrete on either site yet in terms of a transaction but haven't checked in a few weeks. |
