If I'm not mistaken, the City (Waterloo) passed a brownfield's redevelopment act in 2013 that would help property owners cover the cost of remediation.

I've begun to wonder the same thing re a third hospital. Based on the waiting times and beds per capita there seems to be a growing gap in service delivery.

That would certainly explain physicians per capita. The UW/McMaster teaching clinic should begin to address the issue somewhat, however it won't address the issue of beds/capita.

Re the sushi place that used to be beside Seagram Loft - the former manager of Casa Mia now runs the cafe in the Balsillie School. He still makes amazing sushi, as well as great sandwiches.
