Very happy about this news. The current system discourages using transit for short trips. People shouldn't have to pay a second fare after going to the grocery store for 10 minutes.

They really should have moved the Laurier - Waterloo Park stop up to University Ave and then moved the UW stop up to Columbia St. The University routes currently are not connected to any ION station, ...

Walked by the freight rail crossing King in Uptown tonight and looks like it's connected to the northbound ION line now!

Hmm, if this is north of the freight line crossing King, and this needs to be investigated, I'd hope that it wouldn't effect the main Uptown ION construction south of the fright line.

Peak frequency was supposed to be every 7-8 minutes I thought with 10 minute frequency through the midday. Hopefully Galloway or The Record made an error with that.

I believe there will be a 3 meter wide multi-use trail to the other side of the tracks which is why there's so much room. But yeah, the car lanes are very narrow here.

They're installing the black chain link fence through Waterloo Park right now. It doesn't look as bad as I thought it would.

I can confirm that Union and William crossing King are now open! Looks like Caroline/Erb intersection will be able to close tomorrow.
