How do we get a study done on intersections?
To make a left turn onto or off of Ira Needles is very difficult. The traffic is heavy on Ira Needles requiring a safe control to make a left turn.

I couldn't agree more that this area is very unsafe, especially for those turning left off of the highway. I've always thought that the plan should be to use roundabouts for the entrances/exits similar to the 401 @ Ingersoll, considering the entire rest of the road employs them.

To answer the original question, I'm fairly certain that the exchanges at Ira Needles are 100% within the territory of the Province (MTO). So the first step would be to reach out to them. If you ever end up creating some sort of petition, you should post it here. I'd be happy to sign!

Considering they just added lighting and replaced the curbs and replaced the ramps I see little appetite from the province to actually fix anything until something tragic happens again.

I agree, but until that happens... I always go right getting off the highway and then make a 180 at the roundabout. It generally saves time, and is IMO much safer.
